From OWL-S Descriptions to Petri Nets
While OWL-S advertisements provide a rich (ontological and behavioural) description of Web services, there are no tools that support formal analyses of OWL-S services. In this paper we present a translator from OWL-S descriptions to Petri nets which makes such analyses possible thanks to the many tools available for Petri nets.
متن کاملOclets - Scenario-Based Modeling with Petri Nets
We present a novel, operational, formal model for scenariobased modeling with Petri nets. A scenario-based model describes the system behavior in terms of partial runs, called scenarios. This paradigm has been formalized in Message Sequence Charts (MSCs) and Live Sequence Charts (LSCs) which are in industrial and academic use. A particular application for scenarios are process models in disaste...
متن کاملAutomated Test Case Generation using Petri Nets
Software testing is the process of determining the precision, quality, completeness and security of the software systems. An important step in testing software is the generation of test cases, whose quality plays a vital role in determining the time for testing and subsequently its cost. In this research, it is shown that both structural and behavioural diagrams can be used to represent specifi...
متن کاملModel Based Test Case Generation From Natural Language Requirements And Inconsistency, Incompleteness Detection in Natural Language Using Model-Checking Approach
Natural language (NL) is any language that arises in an unpremeditated fashion as the result of the innate facility for language possessed by the human intellect. A natural language is typically used for communication, and may be spoken, signed/written. Natural language (NL) is still widely used for developing software requirements specifications or other artifacts created for documenting requi...
متن کاملTest Scenario Generation from a Structured Requirements Specification
A brief overview of the requirements engineering, its history, and state of practice are given. A semi-formal method to structure the behavioral requirements for realtime embedded systems is presented. This method is based on a set of forms that contain both informal textbased descriptions and formally defined language constructs. After documentation of requirements into these forms, an algorit...
